Fashion Illustration

Wie wäre es einmal mit einer Vogue, die ausschließlich mit Illustrationen bebildert ist? Ich wäre die erste, die sie kauft. Drei Illustratorinnen, die für so ein Projekt unbedingt angefragt werden sollten sind Caitlin McGauley, Danielle Kroll und Amy Borrell.

How about a Vogue pictured only with illustrations? I'd be the first to buy it. There are three illustrators, who should absolutely be asked for a project like that: Caitlin McGauley, Danielle Kroll and Amy Borrell.

 Caitlin schafft es mit wenigen Strichen zu sagen, was gesagt werden muss. Sie kann aber auch ganz anders und ganz ausschweifend. Mit der Illustration unten zeigt sie, wie man so modisch wird wie eine Pariserin.

Caitlin doesn't need more than a few strokes of the brush to say what needs to be said. But she can also get quite ornate. With the illustration below she shows how to get as stylish as a Parisian.

 Danielle Kroll arbeitet für Anthropologie und teilt nebenher auf ihrem Blog ein wenig ihren Alltag mit den Lesern. So zeigt sie von Zeit zu Zeit, was sie getragen hat und erzählt die Geschichten dazu. Noch nie zuvor habe ich eine Person über ihre Kleiderwahl kennengelernt.

Danielle Kroll works for Anthropologie and alongside shares some of her everyday life on her blog. From time to time she would post about what she wore and tell the story to the outfit. Never before did I get to know a person by his or her wardrobe choices.

 Amy Borrells Modezeichnungen sind so klar und eindeutig, dass sie Fotos ersetzen. Das australische Frankie Magazine hat das erkannt und sie ein paar schöne Teile für ihre 41. Ausgabe zeichnen lassen. Ich wünschte, Frankie wäre auch in Deutschland erhältlich.

The fashion illustrations of Amy Borrell are so clear and explicit they subsitute photos. The Australian Frankie Magazine has realized that and commissioned her to draw some beautiful pieces for their issue number 41. I wish Frankie was sold in Germany, too.
