Do you know that feeling oft envy that slowly kreeps up inside when you look at design furniture on Pinterest? Thought so. Lately it is hardest for me when browsing through work spaces because my colleague and I are currently restyling our office. I cannot spend too much on a desk. So I tried to decode the style of some of my favorite pieces and tried to get it with pieces from IKEA. That works surprisingly often.

This is my absolute favorite! So minimalistic and functional. At IKEA you get this style with the Vika Veine table top and the Vika Runtorp table legs. Best feature: The whole desk is inside the table and when it's closed you have an extra side table!
This minimalsitic desk almost vanishes in front of the white wall letting the accessories and plants take over. How likeable! And the style is easy to copy, too. Combine the Vika Amon table top with spray painted Vika Moliden table legs.

A desk looking like part of an art studio? Yes, please! The version from IKEA even looks a bit classier with all in black and the glass top. All the beautiful stuff you can display under that!
Admittedly, the table top on the picture is not golden. But with that chair next to it you see how well the gold works with the black. So why not spray paint the top of the Leksvik desk? Which one of these tables would you like to build? Or do your favorite pieces look completely different?
